John Bunjaporte

It is with sadden hearts that we announce that John Salvatore Bunjaporte passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was 48. John has been suffering with cancer and was diagnosed in 2012. He was born in White Plains on August 7, 1966 to Michael Bunjaporte and Loretta Henry Scannell Bunjaporte. He is one of 13 children. He attended Harrison High School. John was in the culinary field. He was married on October 30, 1993 to Beverly Pankow Bunjaporte and although divorced in 2008, remained close and was a devoted father to Brianna Mary 17, and Brittany Lorettra, 16. His siblings are Cheryl, Jackie, Bonnie, Helen, Kathy, Daniel, James, Sean, Michael, Michele, Richard, Kelly.... he is also survived by his two god daughters, Lisa and Amy. John will be missed by all his friends and family. He has a positive outlook on life and although was afflicted with cancer, he fought until the end and handled it with dignity and grace and was an example to his teenage daughters.

John will be shown at 9 am on Wednesday, November 5th at St. Anthony's Church in Silver Lake, with a 10 am mass and burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh. The family invites you to a lunch at the Amerian Legion at 57 Mitchell Place in White Plains at noon.
