Joan G. Shuttleworth 80, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Sept.13, 2013. She was born on Dec.24, 1932 to the late Adelard and Anne (nee Harrigan) Gadbois in Bloomfield, N.J.
She was a retired systems clerk with Gannett Newspapers in Harrison, N.Y. Joan was predeceased by her devoted husband James W. Shuttleworth in 1984 and is survived by her loving children, James W. III (Sandra) of LaGrange, N.Y. and Jane (Roger, Jr.)
Abbate of Valhalla, N.Y. one sister, Helen Unwin of RI. also survived by her five cherished grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Shuttleworth and Roger, III, Christopher and Lauren Abbate. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at the New Bedford Rural Cemetery in New Bedford, MA.
