Joan E. Sarno

Joan E. Sarno 84, formerly of White Plains, N.Y. and most recently of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. died on July 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Sept.25, 1930 to the late Joseph and Caroline (nee Capell) Wuttke in White Plains, N.Y. She was a retired bookkeeper at St.Agnes Hospital in White Plains, N.Y. for many years. Joan was predeceased by her devoted husband, Louis Sarno in 2003, her son in law, Harold Mero, her three deceased brothers and her three deceased sisters. Joan is survived by her loving children, Joanne Mero of Peekskill, N.Y., Michael Sarno of Pawling, N.Y., Stephen Sarno of Pomona, N.Y. and Paul (Susan) Sarno of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
Also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Autisim Awareness would be appreciated.
