Joan S Drake

Joan S. Drake, 82 passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Umatilla Florida and a resident of Jacksonville Florida for many years, she had been living for the past year in Rye Brook NY to be closer to her daughter Julie Sherwood. She is survived by Julie, her husband Jeffrey Sherwood and daughter Alison Copeland, her husband Peter Copeland and grandchildren Seth and Shealy Copeland of Troy Alabama.
Joan was a beloved teacher, friend, mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the American Lung Association and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.
