Joan A. Cerqua

Joan Cerqua 83, of Thornwood, N.Y.  loving sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on May 25th, 2020. Joan was born in the The Bronx in 1936 to Fanny and John Bisatura. She then moved to Westchester County to raise her family. She enjoyed a 30 year career at Sears where she made some dear friends. Sundays were for making macaroni, having coffee, dessert, and playing games. Her other favorite pastimes were going to Mohegan Sun and summer barbecues with her family. She will be greatly missed by her sister Faye, daughters Lori, Linda, and Christina, her sons-in-law Joseph and Frank, her granddaughter Ana, niece Debbie, nephew William and both of their families. Joan was loved so much and will be missed desperately by everyone who knew her. A private family burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.
