Joan Madlyn Berado

Joan Madlyn Berado 91,on July 2, 2021, of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Bronx, New York passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family.  Born on July 30, 1929, Joan was a devout Catholic who enjoyed cooking, traveling, boating, creative writing and spending time with her loved ones.  A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Joan was fiercely loyal and was always there to help and support her family and friends.  Joan is survived by her husband, Guy, to whom she was married for 71 wonderful years.  Joan is predeceased by her eldest daughter, Christine and survived by her children James (daughter-in-law Pat and grandchildren Danielle, Michael and Courtney), Lisa (son-in-law Tom) and Diane (son-in-law Joe).  In the last years of her life, Joan was exceptionally cared for with much love by Bami, her devoted caregiver.

Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11 a.m.  Entombment to follow.
