Janis S. Brooks

Janis S. Brooks 69, of Tarrytown, N.Y. and formerly of Ardsley, N.Y. died on May 8, 2020. She was born on Aug. 25, 1950 to the late Morris and Phyllis (nee Finkelstein) Schwebel in Bronx, N.Y.  Janis was a Day Camp Director at Elmwood Day Camp in Greenburgh, N.Y. She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Brooks of Tarrytown, N.Y. and her loving son, Jordan (Joanna) Brooks of North Salem, N.Y. and two cherished grandchildren, Scott and Reese. One sister, Leslie (Steve) Goldrich of Valhalla, N.Y. and nephews, Eric and Spencer Goldrich. Also survived by several cousins. As a result of the Current World Health Crisis, a private family burial will take place at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
