Jane Ciaramella

Jane C. Ciaramella, 95, a lifelong resident of White Plains, NY, died on October 20, 2023. Born to Vito and Margherita Russo on June 16, 1928, she attended St. John the Evangelist School and graduated from White Plains High School in 1946. Jane retired from the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance in 1993. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Bernard J. Ciaramella, in 2015, and survived by her daughter, Joanne Ciaramella Sayer of White Plains, NY, and her son, Bernard P. Ciaramella of New York, NY. She was the beloved grandmother of James Sayer. She is also survived by her brother Daniel Russo (Carolyn) of Bardonia, NY, and pre-deceased by her sisters, Vincenza Scoca and Michelina Rabasco, and her brother Michael A. Russo. Jane will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt ~ and as diminutive in size, strong in will. A wake will be held at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, White Plains, NY, on Sunday, October 29, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 92 S. Lexington Avenue, White Plains, NY 10606.
