Jane Catherine (Yelin) Blank

On February 5th, 2023, Jane Blank passed away in her home at age 75, after an extended illness. Jane was the biological mother of two children. However, many people considered Jane their surrogate mother. She loved to engage others and make them feel as if she could be a respite for them.

Jane's greatest joy was to love and be loved by family. She married her husband William Robert (Bob) Blank in June 1967 and lived, loved and worked with him until his passing in 2017. Jane and Bob had 2 children, Jennifer Ruth and Jesse Matthew, who they raised in Woodbridge CT. Jane and Bob also birthed the successful clothing company known as Clothes by Bob and Jane (CBJ). Jane's creativity and flare for art and design helped launch CBJ into the Fashion of the Times and into Saks Fifth Avenue Window displays in the 1980s.

Jane loved traveling, adopting rescue animals, cooking and growing houseplants. Jane could often be found playing loud music and dancing everywhere from the living room to the car passenger seat to Studio 54. Her spirited nature helped her overcome many health issues with the motto "I only walk one way." Jane defied the odds and will be remembered as determined and strong with a fierce love for life. She knew how to love with a full heart.

Jane is survived by her daughter Jennifer, her son Jesse, and three grandchildren; Tahlia, William and Caroline. She was predeceased by her husband William Robert.

The service for Jane Blank will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at graveside Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
