James M. Warren, Sr. went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 15, 2006. He was 80 years old.
Born on October 23, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama, he has been a resident of Tarrytown, New York since 1992.
After high school, Jim Sr. entered the U.S. Navy, and began a military career. He faithfully served His country in World War II, the Korean War, and the Viet Nam War. After more than twenty years of service, he was honorably retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Major on December 1, 1969.
He earned a Master's degree in American History at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and then began a teaching career. He taught History and Social Studies at Coleman High School in Wisconsin and at various other high schools and colleges.
Jim, Sr. married Frances R. Warren on September 8, 1956. He was a beloved father to Deborah, Dona, and James M. Warren, Jr. Jim, Sr. is grandfather to 6 children, and 5 great-grand children.
Jim, Sr. faithfully served his church community, Westchester Chapel, for fourteen years.
