James Sachse

James Sachse, age 82, died on March 10, 2018 in Valhalla, New York. James (Jim) is survived by his wife Hilde Sachse, his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Tom Lindberg, his son and daughter-in-law Eric and Nicole Sachse and his grandchildren Nicole and Karl Lindberg and Lucas Sachse who referred to him as Opa. He was born on April 23, 1935 in Dresden, Germany. He had a degree in Electrical Engineering and held positions at Candid Camera and Picker International (now Phillips), where he worked for more than 30 years. Jim was a great husband, loving father and family man. He liked hiking, skiing, sailing and walking at Rockefeller Park. He loved to travel with his family especially to his beloved Swiss and Austrian Alps. Proud member of the Bavarian Club Edelweiss. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Valhalla United Methodist Church on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 11 AM . In lieu of flowers any donations can be sent to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
