James M. Peace

James Matthew Peace, 58, passed away too soon on April 2nd, 2015 in Katonah, New York. Born May 25, 1956, to John H. and Agnes Peace in Eastchester, New York, he grew up in Scarsdale, New York. After graduating from Scarsdale High School in 1974, he graduated cum laude from Hofstra University in 1977. He had a long career in advertising and marketing specializing in the beverage industry. He moved to Darien, CT in 1987 and raised his family there. Jim was an avid boater and fisherman and was happiest on the water with his three beloved children, James Trevor (JT), Kelley and Ryan Emily (Remy). He was a talented athlete, excelling in soccer, and remained active in his children's youth sports programs. In addition to his children, JT of New York, NY, Kelley of Boston, MA and Remy of Darien, CT; Jim is survived by his mother, Agnes Peace of Sleepy Hollow, NY, two brothers, William J. Peace of Katonah, NY, and John H. Peace, Jr. of Hawthorne, NY and three sisters, Kathy Hope of Huntington Beach, CA, Ellen Burke of Gayesville, VT and Mary Ann Gallant of Chula Vista, CA. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Pleasantville, NY at 10am on Saturday April 11, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Teton Valley Ranch Camp (TVRC) Education Foundation, P.O. Box 4915, 290 East Broadway, Jackson, WY 83001.
