James R. Drury

James Richard Drury, of Sunnyside, NY and later of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was surrounded by his devoted wife of fifty-two years, Lynne, née Giebelhouse, and his loving daughters Teresa (Michael Sullivan) and Kathleen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Éamonn, Jacqueline and Meghan.

 Right up until the end, Jim loved to tell stories of his life growing up in Sunnyside, his career at the phone company, and his time in Phipps Garden Apartments. He moved to Braintree, Massachusetts in 2023 to be closer to his daughter, Katie, and grandson Éamonn, but missed his time in Virginia very much. Jim always played his cards close, but his family always knew what mattered to him. He will be missed very much.
