Howard S Garson

Dr. Howard S. Garson, 86, died suddenly Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Bettijane Sills Garson, devoted father of James Garson and step-daughter Frances Garson Trocki, grandfather to David, Peter, James, Susan and Henry, and great grandchildren Nora and Ellen. After serving in the United States Navy from 1945 - 1947, Dr. Garson went to NYU on the G-I Bill, attended medical school in Bern and Zurich, Switzerland and opened a private practice in Pediatrics in Bronxville, NY in 1960. He served as Director of Pediatrics and was President of the Medical Staff at Lawrence Hospital. After retiring from medicine Howard enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest playing tennis and golf and attending dance performances whenever he could. His kindness and humanity as a physician and human being will long be remembered. He was a true gentleman and will be deeply missed by all.
