Hilda Moscow Colish died April 18 at her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She was 96 years old. She was a former resident of New Rochelle, where she resided for over 50 years.
Mrs. Colish attended Parsons School of Art in the 1930's and spent a term abroad at Parsons' Paris affiliate. She continued to practice her art throughout her life, as well as attending classes, including several at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in her later years.
Hilda was born in New York City, the daughter of Daniel and Isabel Moscow. Wife for 53 years of the late Louis D. Colish, she is survived by her son, William (Diane) Colish and daughter, Vicki Abramson, and by her grandchildren, Daniel Colish, Stefanie Colish, Jennifer Ayoroa and Remy DeVere, and by her two great grandchildren, Evan and Isabella Ayoroa.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home at 9:00am and services will be held there at 10:00am.
