Herman Sonnechsen

Herman Sonnechsen 77, most recently a resident of the Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers, N.Y. died on Feb. 19, 2012. He was born on Oct. 20, 1934 to the late Herman and Maria Sonnechsen in Germany. He was a retired building and office superintendent in Yonkers and White Plains, N.Y. Herman was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2000 and by his son John in 2008. He is survived by his daughter Irene (Douglas) Daly of Carmel, N.Y. and his three grandchildren; Jennifer, Kevin and Stephanie Daly. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment to follow.
