Helmut Seidler

Helmut J. Seidler of White Plains passed away on February 6th 2017. He was born on May 25th 1929, in NYC, to the late Alfred and Johanna Seidler. Predeceased by his younger brother Manfred. He was raised and educated in the former OST/Pommern Region of Germany. Re-entered the US in 1946 and settled in White Plains. Married to his devoted and beloved wife, Rosa, for 66 years. Loving father of Christa Schmitz and Fred Seidler. Cherished Opa of Andrea (Jared) Matesic and Jessica Schmitz. Honorably discharged from the Air National Guard in 1955 having served for 7 years. Owner of Karl Ehmer Quality Meats (New Rochelle) for 27 years possessing the ultimate dedication to his customers through his long hours and hard work.
He carried on his German traditions as an honorary member of Bavarian Club Edelweiss of Westchester and the Steuben Society. Visitation-2:00-4:00, 7:00-9:00 on Friday, Feb. 10th, 2016. Service 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13th -Ballard Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains, NY. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery.
