Helen Teresa Walkewich

Helen Teresa Walkewich died at Bethel Nursing Home February 10, 2010. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants, Magdalene Woytowich and Andrew Jarosz. Helen was born in New Jersey and grew up in New York City. She married William E. Walkewich in 1942, they moved to White Plains in 1963. During her life she was employed as an AT&T longlines operator, creator of Feather Adornments for high fashion hats, as a sale clerk for Kent Cleaners and at Macy's White Plains. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale N.Y. Helen was predeceased by William in 1991 and two sisters Mary and Sophie. She is survived by two daughters Mary (Kenneth) Wintermuth of Ormond Beach Florida, and Irene Muscolino of New Jersey two grandchildren Kristopher and Rose and three great grandchildren.
