Helen V. Nestor 93, of Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers, N.Y. Died on April 11, 2009 at Cabnini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. She was born on June 11, 1915 to the late David and Katherine (nee Moran) Gorman in NYC. Helen was predeceased by her devoted husband John W. Nestor in 1994, 1 beloved son John F. Nestor in 2003, 1 brother Thomas Gorman and 1 sister Mary McPherson. She is survived by her loving daughters; Katherine Yurista and her husband John of Valhalla, N.Y. and Janet Gallagher of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Also survived by 6 cherished Grandchildren; John, Kevin and William Gallagher, Joanne Lent, Karen Waters and Kenneth Yurista and 11 great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
