Helarion Cleveden Bacchus better known as Tojo was born on October 21, 1950 in Paradise East Coast Demerara, Guyana South America to Mother Amelia Bacchus and Father Clarence Kenneth Bacchus. He was the last surviving child of his Parents subsequently after four of his siblings passed away young in childhood before he was born.
In 1961 at a young age of eleven Tojo lost his Father suddenly and now had to begin his journey into manhood at a young age, but was supported during that time by his Father's Twin Brother Bryant Bacchus while living with his Mother Amelia Bacchus. During this time he would spend a great deal of his time with his Uncle Bryant's children. They would all grow together like Brothers and Sisters.
Tojo attended Golden Grove Secondary School, where he would graduate at the age of eighteen years old. Tojo would follow in his Father's and Uncle's footsteps and join the Police Force for eight years when in 1976 he migrated to the United States.
He would find employment with TSS Department Store in Brooklyn NY at the time. He would work there for several years when in 1984 he joined Montefiore Medical Center/Einstein Division, Bronx, NY where he would work for the next 32 years, working his way up to supervisor. He would always travel back and forth home to his roots in Guyana, he loved going home and staying close to his fellow country men to see how he could help them in anyway.
Tojo is survived by his wife Michaelle his son Eric Cleveden Bacchus, Stepson Michael Williams, stepdaughter Maureen Criscitelli, daughters-in-law Melanie Bacchus, Barbara Williams and son-in-law Tim Criscitelli and his grandchildren Kierra, Rommel, Alex, Dean, Amelia, Cameron, Sophia and Amayah as well as
