Hazel Beringer

Hazel O. Beringer, a devoted mother and grandmother and significant member of the Scarsdale community, died at home on Thursday at the age of 87. She was the loving wife for 70 years of G W Beringer Jr. and is survived by her daughter, Lynne and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Thomas. Avid enthusiast of the arts, devoted tennis player, and world traveler, she lived life to the fullest. Hazel, a master bridge player and co-founder of the Pickwick Club of Westchester, changed the game of bridge for women in her community, dedicating well over half a century to the game. Hazels legacy will be remembered and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
