Harry Scott Carlson

Harry Scott Carlson known by Scott passed unexpectedly at 53 years of age in Yonkers N.Y.  He was born in Mount Kisco, New York and was a 1982 graduate of Westlake High School.  Scott lived most of his life in the Hawthorne area before moving to Yonkers a few years ago.  Scott was disabled approximately 25 years ago after a motorcycle which nearly took his life.  He never fully recovered from that accident.  Scott enjoyed working on cars and loved animals.  His two small lap dogs Rascal & Bochie were an important part of his life. Scott in spite of his physical & emotional pain would always help a friend in need. He had a large heart and would often give a homeless person the last dollar in his pocket or his last bottle of water.  Scott's father, Harry E Carlson Jr predeceased him in February 2017.  Scott is survived by his mother Elizabeth Carlson, his children, Scottie (Suzy) Carlson of Valhalla N.Y., Jaclyn Carlson, Keith Carlson & Kassie Carlson.  His is also survived by two grandchildren Brianna & Jordyn, his sister Kim Carlson and brother Glenn (Denise) Carlson, nieces Tyler-Nicole Carlson & Samantha Carlson and nephew Glenn Carlson Jr.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The ASPCA of Westchester 590 North State Road, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. 10510. Visitation, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Kensico Cemetery on Saturday 10 AM. Interment to follow.
