Harold S. Weitz

Harold Weitz, On Sunday, July 1, 2012; Harold Weitz, a resident of Fishkill, New York, and husband of Susan Weitz, died peacefully. He was 67-years-old. Harold was the beloved father of Andrew Weitz (of West Palm Beach Gardens in Florida), and Adam Weitz (of Wappingers Falls, NY). Mr. Weitz formerly lived in Mahopac, New York with Susan, his wife of 47 years. He was the beloved Grandfather of Nichole, Kyra, Erica and Alexander Weitz. He is also survived by his mother, Lottie Neumann, (of Del Ray Beach in Florida). Mr. Weitz was born on December 16, 1944 in Tarrytown, NY. He was an accomplished accountant who received his training at Westchester Community College and Pace University. Harold was also an avid golfer; and he loved exploring new areas via train. However, it will be the deep love he had for his family and many kindnesses he extended to complete strangers and those in need, that he will be remembered for most. No one was really a stranger to Harold, for every person he met soon became his friend. Please join us in a celebration of this wonderful man's life. Funeral arrangements follow: On Thursday, July 5, 2012 11AM – 12:30 there will be a viewing at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 (914-769-4404). Burial services will follow at Sharon Gardens Cemetery at 1:00 PM 273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home.
