Gregg Marc Rosenberg (60) of West Harrison, NY passed peacefully on June 28th, 2024, in Midlothian, VA. Gregg was born on August 31st, 1963, in White Plains, NY to Shirley Auerbach Day and Harold Rosenberg. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School and graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School in 1981. Gregg began his career as a mechanic before realizing his passion in Information Technology. His work took him to Farberware and US Tobacco and ultimately relocated him to Virginia working for Altria and most recently The Federal Reserve of Richmond.
Gregg met his wife Mary Ann when they were 18 years old and married in 1986 in West Harrison, NY at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Gregg and Mary Ann raised their three children in the small town of Silver Lake. He was passionate in the community participating in Preston PTA, local sports as a coach, and a proud member of the West Harrison Neighborhood Association.
Gregg is survived by his spouse Mary Ann, their three children Steven Rosenberg (Jillian). Nicole Hunter (Christopher), Valerie Rosenberg, and his pride and joy, his two granddaughters Lucy Hunter and Lillian Rosenberg. He is also survived by his three sisters Ann Valencia, Lori Ryder (Geoff), and Julie Durocher, Mary Ann's mother Marie Sgro and her siblings Ralph Sgro (Kathy), Marisa Bratberg (Eric), and Paula Karl (Rob). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. Gregg was preceded by his mother, father, father-in-law Ralph "Pop" Sgro, sister Mara Formichelli and brother-in-law Dean Durocher.
Viewing will be held on Friday July 5th, 2024, from 3pm-8pm at Ballard-Durand of Hawthorne (21 W. Stevens Ave Hawthorne NY 10532). Funeral will be held at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Church (85 Harrison St. West Harrison NY 10604) followed by a graveside service at Mount Calvary Cemetery (575 Hillside Ave, White Plains NY 10603).
