Gino Torrieri

Gino Torrieri 87, of White Plains, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers and Bronx, N.Y. died on Feb.1, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Jan.12, 1926 to the late Dominic and Caterina (DiSciascio) Torrieri in Guardiagrele, Italy. Gino served proudly in the US Army during WWII.He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus and Old Guard of White Plains. Gino is survived by his devoted wife, Anne (nee Taraborrelli) Torrieri of White Plains, N.Y. his loving children, Louis (Irene) Torrieri of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Anthony (Victoria) Torrieri of Hawthorne, N.Y. two brothers, Anthony (Antoinette) Torrieri of Yonkers, N.Y., Rocco (Virginia) Torrieri of Levittown, N.Y. and one sister, Amy (Don) Anzalone of Old Brookville, N.Y. also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa), John and Stefanie. Predeceased by his two sisters, Marie and Millie and by his two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Saturday, 6-9 PM. and Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, White Plains, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
