Gina Belloli, aged 67, of Hawthorne, New York, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on August 2, 2023. Born in Manhattan, on June 23, 1956, she was the daughter of Madeline and Gino D'Amato. She graduated in 1975 from St. Jean Baptiste High School. Gina earned an associate degree in applied science from New York University and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pace University, Pleasantville, New York. Since 1984, Gina worked as an Underwriter for Guardian Life of America.
On June 8, 1976, she married the love of her life, Michael Belloli and lived in New York City before moving to Hawthorne, New York in 1984. Gina is survived by her husband; Michael, two children; Carly and Michael; beloved granddaughter Skylar Reign Belloli; Mother, Madeline D'Amato; sister, Louisa Barba; brother, Victor D'Amato; and brothers-in-law Peter (Michele) and Remo (Fran); nieces and nephews Matthew Barba, Gina (Jared) Santangelo and their children Lucas, Marco, and Dante; Victor (Anna) D'Amato and their children Elena and Logan; Danielle (Alex) Eckhart; Christopher D'Amato; aunts and uncles Lucy and Paul Pasqualin, Pina (Giacomo) Alauria, Fred D'Amato. Gina was previously deceased by her father, Gino D'Amato and her brother-in-law, Pasquale Barba.
In addition to working full-time, Gina served on the Holy Name of Jesus School Board for many years where she worked closely with the principal to improve programs for the school children and helped the board of directors for the Westwood Swim and Tennis club as she was an avid tennis player. Gina loved playing tennis and she organized tournaments for the club for many summers. Gina could be seen on the courts with her friends late at night under the lights for friendly round robin matches.
Gina had many passions including: family, food, animals, music, dancing, yoga, tennis, golf, and the New Jersey Devils. She rescued Giacomo (Jack) as a puppy and that phrase "who rescued who" certainly applies here. Gina loved dancing and live music and there were many gatherings and tennis matches that turned into dance parties with much laughter. Gina and Michael enjoyed hosting family events and would always have plenty of homemade dishes to share.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in a Memorial service being held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Ballard-Durand Funeral and Cremation Services of Hawthorne. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, New York at 11 am on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
