Gerard J. (Buddy) Ruffalo 87, of Pleasantville, N.Y. and formerly of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. died on Nov.3, 2009. He was born on Feb.15, 1922 to the late John and Lillian (nee Bracallelo) Ruffalo in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. Gerard served Proudly in the US Army during WWII. He married his wife Julia DiMarzo on June 22, 1947. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 137 and worked for Yonkers Contracting, retiring in 1987. Buddy was a lifetime member of the Elks Club in Mt. Vernon. He is survived by his devoted wife Julia (nee DiMarzo) Ruffalo of Pleasantville, N.Y. His loving daughters; Judith Giampia of Mahopac, N.Y. and Linda Crocco of Pleasantville, N.Y. 1 brother John Ruffalo and his wife Toni of Moorstown, N.J. Also survived by his 5 cherished grandchildren; Robert (Debra) Giampia, Victoria (Scott) Garrette, Gregory Giampia, Joseph, Jr. and Christopher Crocco. And 4 great grandchildren; Jessica and Page Giampia and Leia and Aidan Garrette. A loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
