Gerard R. Bricker

Gerard R. Bricker 80, of North White Plains, N.Y. died on July 3, 2009 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on Feb.12, 1929 to the late Harold and Helen (Flood) Bricker in Yonkers, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WW11. Gerard was an optician and worked for Copeland Optometrists in Rye, N.Y. for many years. He was a wonderful husband and father and best Poppy in the world and enjoyed his whole family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife Judith (nee Longo) Bricker of North White Plains, N.Y. His loving daughters; Jill (Eugene) Guercio of Valhalla, N.Y. and Kristin Clemens and her husband Richard of Norwalk, Conn. 2 sisters; Vivian McDonough of Cornelius, NC and Dorothy Cullen of Danbury, CT. 1 brother Albert Bricker of Simsbury, Ct. Also survived by 5 cherished grandchildren; Jessica, Jenna and Jillian Guercio and Richard Clemens III and Christopher Clemens. and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his sister in law Grace Bricker of Yonkers, N.Y. Predeceased by 2 sisters Catherine Kolkmann and Josephine Clarkson and 2 brothers Raymond and Edward Bricker. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Tuesday 10 AM. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to White Plains Hospital Center Davis Ave. at East Post Road White Plains, N.Y. 10601 for all their devoted care given to Gerard through the years, would be appreciated.
