George F. Smith

George F. Smith 87, of Elmsford, N.Y. died on Nov.16, 2011. He was born on June 24, 1924 to the late Martin and Anna (nee Ginnitty) Smith in Tarrytown, N.Y. George proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a retired General Forman with the NYS Department of Transportation. George is survived by his devoted wife Carmella (nee Furcola) Smith of Jacksonville, Fla. and by his loving daughters; Ann (Robert) Neff of North White Plains, N.Y. and Elizabeth Moccio of Jacksonville, Fla. Also survived by his four cherished grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother, Martin Smith. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Friday (today) 5-9 PM. where funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.
