George E. Brunberg, 88, of Poughkeepsie, formerly of Brewster, NY, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. George was a retired pharmacist who owned both Lambert’s Pharmacy in Harrison, NY and Cadman’s Pharmacy in Chappaqua, NY. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an accomplished trapshooter from the Westchester Trap Club, winning many trophies. He was a licensed pilot who also enjoyed woodworking, sailing, RVing, but most importantly spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret H. Brunberg, his daughters Christine (Tim) Harrison and Karen Strandell and his son William Edward Brunberg. In addition he is survived by his grandsons, Liam (Angela) Harrison and Daniel Harrison, his granddaughters, Lyndsay and Kristen Strandell and his two great grandchildren, Roebling and Arlo Harrison. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue , White Plains, NY. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Ballard-Durand with interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
