Gary E. Schmidt

Gary E Schmidt of Yorktown Heights, passed away suddenly on Wednesday June 7, 2017, He was 83.  The son of the late Anna Ruth and Gustav Schmidt, he was born in White Plains.  He married his loving wife Judy on December 7, 1957; they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.  He graduated White Plains High School in 1953 then served in the US Navy and is a retired member of IBEW Local 3 with 60 years of service.  He is survived by his cherished wife Judy and his two sons Scott (Karen) of Mahopac and David (Peggy) of Putnam Valley, his brothers Ronald (Sue), Donald (Rita Ann), Robert and sisters Sue (Lenny) DiChiara, Lisa Clarke and his 4 loving grandchildren Erik, Stephanie, Kayla and Michelle.  He is predeceased by his brother Richard and his sisters Linda Benson and Norma Keegan.  There will be a memorial service at Greenville Community Church, Scarsdale, NY on Saturday 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, Donations to Friends of Karen or Greenville Community Church would be appreciated.
