Gaetano (Guy) DeVito 86, formerly of Thornwood, N.Y. and most recently of Old Saybrook, Conn. died on Sept.17, 2015 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1929 to the late Michael and Angelina (nee Foglia) DeVito in White Plains, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII stationed in Fort MacPherson in Atlanta, GA as an M.P. He was Past President of the Westchester County Building Trades Industry Council and very active in the Fenwood Owners Assoc. in Ct. He was an excavation – contractor and owner-operator of Guy DeVito, Inc. in Hawthorne, N.Y. Guy is survived by his devoted wife, Stella (nee Spadaccia) DeVito of Old Saybrook, Conn. and by his loving daughters, Diane (Joseph, Jr.) Sisca of New Canaan, Conn., Michele DeVito of White Plains, N.Y. and Angela Grassi of Scottsdale, AZ. two sisters, Aurora (Louis) Addorissio of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. and Marie Mascolo of Old Saybrook, Conn. Also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Michael (Devon) and Daniel (Kathleen) Suozzi and Andrea (Gary) Troy and by his three great grandchildren, Michael , Christopher and Thomas Guy. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass, St.Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Interment, Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, N.Y.
