G. Matthew Schmiedel

G. Matthew Schmiedel 28, of Ossining and formerly of Vallhalla, N.Y. Died suddenly on July 27, 2009 in NYC. He was born on Sept.13, 1980 to Cary and Stephanie (nee O'Neill) Schmiedel in White Plains, N.Y. He was a graduate of Crane School of Music in Potsdam, N.Y. and currently employed as office mgr. at Hands On in NYC a music school for pre schoolers. Besides his devoted parents of Ossining, N.Y. Matthew is survived by his loving sisters; Carrie-Ann Lent and her husband Jamie of Pleasantville, N.Y., Diana Lynn Wichman and her husband Keith of North White Plains, N.Y. and Christine Kathryn Schmiedel of Brooklyn, N.Y. his paternal grandparents Budd and Almeda Schmiedel of Moody, Maine. Also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews; Jessica Wichman and William and Katherine Lent. His beloved aunts and uncles; Rev. George F. O'Neill of Brookfield, Conn. Stan and Kathleen Johnson and their children Brian and Christopher of Valhalla, N.Y. and Pat and Diane Fucale and their children P.J. and Tara of Valhalla, N.Y. Also survived by many loving friends. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents George and Kathleen O'Neill. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday 10 AM. Interment Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Assoc. would be appreciated.
