Frederick H. Williams passed away on February 28, 2011, at age ninety-one. He was the son of Dr. Frederick S. Williams and Caroline Vogel Williams. Mr. Williams grew up in White Plains, New York. He received a degree in Geology from Colgate University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Organ from Juilliard, and a Master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. He served as Church Organist and Choir Director for forty-six years at Ossining, N. Y. United Methodist Church. He won the Freedom Foundation Award for writing the music for the words on the Statue of Liberty. He was granted about 200 copyrights for his musical compositions. Mr. Williams touched the lives of many people. There are no immediate surviving family members.
