Frederick R. Schmitt 83, of White Plains, N.Y. and Eastham, MA. Died on April 27, 2012 at his residence. He was born July 22, 1928 to the late Fred and Eleanor (nee Schenck) Schmitt in Queens, NY. Mr. Schmitt retired from General Re-Insurance Corporation in Stamford, CT. as 2nd Vice President. He was a graduate of Fordham University. Fred is survived by his wife Mary ( nee Marin ) Schmitt of White Plains, NY, two daughters Karen Schmitt (Robert O'Grady ) Philadelphia, PA, Dolores (David) Tesoro of LaGrangeville, NY., two sons Paul Schmitt of Maricopa, AZ, and Victor Schmitt of Sleepy Hollow, NY. Also survived by grandchildren Jonathan and Eric Schmitt, Kodi Ingraham and Julia and Michele Tesoro. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 3 PM – 7 PM and Monday 4 PM – 8 PM. Funeral Mass Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Elmsford, N.Y. Tuesday 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
