Fred A. Farina 93, of West Harrison, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers, N.Y. died on March 31, 2009 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on March 21, 1916 to the late Vincent and Basilica (nee Liberatore) Farina in Yonkers, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WW11. Fred was a retired Butcher / Meat Mgr. for Daitch-Shopwell Supermarkets in Scarsdale. He will always be remembered for his love of playing poker and his passion for golf. He is survived by his devoted wife Anne (nee Domizio) Farina of West Harrison, N.Y. His loving daughters; Judith Palmiotto and her husband Mario of Annandale, VA, Linda Putorti and her husband Dennis of Valhalla, N.Y. and Janet Caligiuri and her husband Michael of Thornwood, N.Y. 1 sister Mary Bisaccia of Yonkers, N.Y. Also survived by 6 cherished grandsons; Anthony, Kevin, Thomas, Brian, Scott and Michael. Predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday (today) 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday 10 AM. Entombment, Mt.Hope Cemetery, Hastings, N.Y.
