In 1973 Frank married Marie-Therese Redon from St. Antoine, France, who survives him. They resided in Briarcliff Manor and Silver Lake. He embraced his French family and enjoyed many visits to and from France.
While in Silver Lake, Frank served as a volunteer firefighter and an officer in the Silver Lake Italian American Mutual Society. In Briarcliff he was an avid hunter and contributing member of the Goldens Bridge Game and Hunt Club. Frank enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, dancing, and various sports including, bowling, fishing, and golfing. He loved children and dogs and especially enjoyed mentoring young people as they chose occupations, helping many enter the world of work.
Frank got his start as a civil engineer for the New York Railroad, and subsequently was employed by the County of Westchester, where he enjoyed a long and productive career (1953-1986). Starting as a civil engineer in Public Works, he was soon promoted into management in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation where he supervised the overall maintenance of county parks, recreation facilities and parkways. In addition, he maintained a private engineering consultancy and general contracting business. Frank designed and built many homes, and engineered and served as general contractor on numerous and varied residential and industrial construction projects. He loved the challenge of finding practical and creative solutions to complex engineering problems and worked well into his 80’s.
Frank is survived by his wife, Marie, daughters, Denise (Ed Whatley) and Cynthia (John Matthew), nephew Bruce Neri (Jayne), numerous loving nieces and nephews from the Trapani and Neri families, and sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews from Redon family in France.
