Frank Patrick Scallero, 94 of Elmsford, NY passed away on Wednesday Morning, of July 24, 2019, of natural causes. He is proceeded in death by his mother Julia and Father Gregory (Chauncey NY), Brother Nicholas and sister-In-Law Joyce (Glens Falls NY), Brother Gregory and sister-in-law MaryAnn (Comstock NY) and wife Margaret. Frank was a resident of Elmsford NY for many years and worked as a Union Truck Driver for Elmsford Building Materials (Teamsters Local 456). When Frank retired he was a successful business owner in the construction field. Frank served in WWII in the U.S. Army with the 10 Mountain Division achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also belonged to VFW Post 1939 in Sleepy Hollow, NY where he also served as Commander. Frank is survived by his Son Michael (Elmsford, NY) and Longtime partner Wendy, Grand Daughter Giovanna, Step-Grand Daughter Rayne and his favorite Dog, Layla. A wake will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 4:00p - 8:00p at Ballard- Durand 72 E. Main Street Elmsford, NY 10523. Services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church 59 E. Main Street, Elmsford, NY 10523 followed by burial at Mt Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
