Francesco Carlo Greco

Francesco Carlo Greco 88, of West Harrison, NY passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2015 at his residence. Francesco was born on July 9, 1926 to the late Luigi and Rosaria (nee Guido) Greco in Cosenza, Italy. He came to America in 1958 and became a world renowned Luthier who started at Guild Guitar. He quickly became a supervisor and held that position for 18 years. He built custom made guitars in the music district in New York City. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Lidia Greco in 2011. Francesco is survived by his devoted children Rosalie E. (Peter) Crispo of West Harrison, NY, and Luigi Greco of Nanuet, NY. He is also survived by his loving sisters Natalina Reda of Italy, Maria Greco of Italy and his brother Antonio Greco of Italy. Francesco is also survived by his cherished granddaughters Danielle Crispo and Nicole (Jason) Piedmont as well as his two great grandchildren Chloe and Zachary. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Sunday (today) from 4-7PM. Interment private.
