Flora Tacchino

Flora S. Tacchino 76, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on April 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born on Feb. 12, 1934 to the late Edward and Angelina (nee Ruggiero) Francesco in Bronx, N.Y. During most of her working career, she was owner-operator of Joy Travel in Hawthorne, N.Y., worked as a hostess at various restaurants, and was a toll taker for the NYC Bridge and Tunnel Authority. She is survived by her sister Antoinette Iarossi of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. and by several nieces and nephews. Flora was predeceased by her sisters; Rose Francesco, Rita Tota, Carmela DeVirgelis and by her brothers; Domenick, Joseph, Henry and Edward Francesco. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
