Flora Dozzo

Flora Dozzo of White Plains, NY, died July 23, 2011. She was 95 years old. Flora was born March 2, 1916 in Manhattan, daughter of the late Luigi and Teresa Benvenuto. She married Ferdinando Dozzo on June 8, 1957. Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law Lucio Cristofano of White Plains and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Paul Cristofano. Flora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ferdinando Dozzo in 1989. She loved being surrounded by her many loving family members and friends. Flora, affectionately known as grandma to most, was known for her excellent cooking and honest advice. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 26 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church White Plains. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
