Felix Garcia Muñoz, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024 at the age of 91. Born on November 29, 1932 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Felix aka “Popo” lived a full and meaningful life, defined by his dedication to family, hard work, and the love he shared with those around him.
Felix worked tirelessly throughout his life, and met his wife Mary along the way in Yonkers, New York. They both instilled values of determination, honesty, and kindness in their three children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Felix was a pillar of strength, offering wisdom and guidance to all around him. His love for his family, friends and neighbors was unparalleled, and he took great pride in watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Beyond his professional and family life, Felix had a passion for baseball, salsa and dominos which brought him great joy and fulfillment. Whether it was playing dominos or simply watching the Yankees play baseball on TV with his loved ones, he cherished every moment.
Felix was predeceased by his wife, Mary. He is survived by his daughter Elena, and two sons Tony and Felix Jr and their families who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength will endure in all who knew him.
A private service to celebrate Felix’s life will be held on October 7th at Ferncliff in Hawthorne for immediate family
