Eugenia Rosenthal

Eugenia Rosenthal, born Eugenia Leight, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of March 5, 2015. Born April 15, 1925, Jean grew up in the Pennsylvania countryside, raised a family in New Rochelle, New York and then taught nursing at City College of New York. Her unfailing cheerfulness and optimism were a delight to all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (husband Don Thulin), sons Harry (wife Lisa) and Robert, and grandchildren Sean, Stephanie and Mallory, also her sister, Caroline Merrill, she is predeceased by her loving husband Julian Rosenthal, M.D. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14th from 9am - 10:30am with a funeral service starting at 10:30 at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains, NY. Interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery.

The family of Eugenia Rosenthal will be having a lunch following the interment at the Cabin, 1172 Knollwood Rd, White Plains, NY 10603 (914) 592-6682. If you able to attend please RSVP with the funeral home. There will the St. Patrick's Day Parade in White Plains happening, please allow time for an increase in traffic.
