Died on July 14, 2005 at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. He was born on June 21, 1923 to John and Mary (nee Dietz) White in Brooklyn, N.Y. Eugene graduated from Rye High School and Fordham University Class of 1943. He served proudly as a staff Sgt. in the US Army during WWII. He was employed by the County of Westchester as Director of Operations of Public Works and general superintendent of Rye Playland retiring in 1985. Eugene was predeceased by his wife Ann (nee Reilly) White in 1996 and
3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 sons Michael White and his wife Mary of Goldens Bridge, N.Y. Gregory White and his wife Dawn of Granite Springs, N.Y. and 2 daughters Sharon Thorp and her husband Michael of Hillsborough, N.J. and Suzanne Conmy and her husband George of
Endicott, N.Y. 1 sister Alice Myrtle of Bethany Beach, Del. Also survived by 6 grandchildren Michael and Christine White, Kelly and Kevin Thorp, and Katherine and Ann Conmy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews including Peter Glasheen of Thornwood, N.Y. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
