Eugene J. McLaughlin

Eugene J. McLaughlin 84, most recently a resident of the North Westchester Nursing Center in Mohegan Lake, N.Y. and a former longtime resident of Armonk, N.Y. died on Feb.20, 2011. He was born on August 8, 1926 to the late John and Marie McLaughlin in Brooklyn, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Eugene was owner-operator of The Cheese Shop in Stamford, Conn. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Patricia (nee Staines) McLaughlin in 2005, and one deceased brother John (Jack) McLaughlin. He is survived by his loving children; Mary Bunt of Mt.Kisco, N.Y., Kathy (Greg) Vadella of Hawthorne, N.Y., Joan McLaughlin (Donald Brauer) of Shrub Oak, N.Y. and Ken (Sheryl) McLaughlin of Purdys, N.Y. Also survived by his six cherished grandchildren; Timothy (Kourtney) Radice, Rose Marie Vadella, Patricia (Todd) Ridenour, Jennifer Vadella, Kristen Bunt and Gregory Vadella and three great grandchildren. No visiting hours. Memorial Service, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Saturday 11:30 AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers donations to Kingsbridge Veterans Hospital c/o Volunteer & Chaplin Program/135 James J. Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx, N.Y. 10468 would be appreciated.
