Eugene Joseph Cerbone (91), he was a long time resident of Pelham Manor and New Rochelle, passed away in Rye, New York on August 12, 2013. He was born on December 24, 1921 to the late Joseph Eugene Cerbone and Eleanor Curcio Cerbone in Bronx, New York. Eugene earned a bachelors degree from St. John's University, served in World War II – Medical Corp, then returned to complete his DDS from NYU School of Dentistry. Eugene married Dr. Mary A. Cerbone in 1948 and practiced dentistry together in the Bronx. Eugene is survived by his loving children: Eleanor (John) Scarcella of Lavallette, N.J. Regina (Salvatore) Grasso of Chappaqua, N.Y. Annette Cerbone (Suzanne LeVan) of New York, N.Y. Joseph (Rena) Cerbone of Upper Montclaire, N.J. and Lisa (James) DeFillipo of Sewell, N.J. and one sister, Anna Apicella. He is also survived by his ten cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne N.Y. on Friday 10AM. Entombment to follow.
