Erwin P. Bredehorst

Erwin P. Bredehorst 89, of Yonkers, N.Y. died on September 12, 2018 at the NYS Veterans Home in Montrose, N.Y. He was born on Oct. 15, 1928 to the late Ernst and Ellie (nee Sass) Bredehorst in Rendsburg, Germany. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Erwin was a retired Owner-Operator of B&L Plumbing and Heating in NYC. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lucia (nee Hilbich) Bredehorst of Yonkers, N.Y. and by his loving daughter, Karin Giuffrida of Yonkers, N.Y. and his two cherished grandchildren, Christina and John Giuffrida and brother, Rolf Bredehorst of Germany. Predeceased by a brother, Ernst Bredehorst. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-9 PM. Where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, 11 AM. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
