Ernesto “Luigi” Ruperto, a longtime resident of White Plains, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2021, with his loving wife Ada of 71 years, and devoted sons Frank and Pasquale at his side. He was 95 years old. Born on April 18 th , 1926 in Campana, Italy to Francesco and Florinda Maria Ruperto, Luigi was the youngest of 8 children; brothers, Antonio, Saverio, Giuseppe, Domenico, Vincenzo and sisters, Maria and Angelina, all predeceased. On April 16 th , 1950, he married Ada Cosenza, his lifelong love. Luigi worked as an upholsterer in Campana, before moving his family to America in 1960, settling in White Plains, NY. He was a skilled upholsterer at Arno Upholstery in Scarsdale, until his retirement in 1991. Luigi is survived by his loving wife, Ada, two sons Frank (Kate) and Pasquale (Donna), four grandchildren Elizabeth (Dave), Louis (Kristen), Christina (John) and Anthony and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Lily, Mia and Rylee. Reposing at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 9AM-11AM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. following at 11:30 AM.
