Eric R. Werner 59, most recently of Danbury, CT and formerly of Valhalla, N.Y. passed away on Jan. 3, 2017. Eric was born on April 6, 1957 to the late Thomas and Vera (nee Malmstrom) Werner in White Plains, N.Y. Eric was a graduate of Valhalla High School in Valhalla, N.Y where he spent most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a novelist as well. Eric is survived by his sister Ingrid Christophel (John) of Woodcliff Lake, N.J. as well as one niece Elizabeth and one nephew Jared. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in Eric’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
