Eric Bruce Batashoff "Ricky"
Smart, witty, loving, talented and emotional are just a few words that describe, Ricky.
Some of his passions included photography, listening to music and playing the keyboards.
He was also a great cook who loved talking about his approach to cooking and adding great flavors. He took great pride is his iced tea, specifically purchasing large amounts of loose tea and steeping it in the largest pasta pot.
He loved people. Everyone knew Ricky and he remembered everything about everyone, always asked how they were doing and if they needed anything. If they wanted a seltzer and he didn't have the spare change, somehow Ricky still brought back a seltzer. People who knew Ricky genuinely loved him.
Ricky also loved telling stories. Whether it was about he and his older sister hiding from the babysitter or how he and his friends pushed his little sister around in a box. He took great pride in being the big brother.
He idealized his parents. He took great pride in being an uncle. He cherished his grandparents.
Ricky practiced unconditional love. When he was feeling good, he saw the good in everyone and wanted everyone to be happy.
This is the Ricky we will choose to remember. We know he is in a better place now. He is clearly playing his organ and telling jokes to crowd.
You will always live in our hearts. ❤️
